Biography

Born in Western Australia, Amelia Seth grew up in the suburbs of Perth, completing her secondary schooling studying, training and performing in the specialist ballet and contemporary programs at John Curtin College of the Arts. She was also a founding member of their youth based Project Company and enjoyed leading roles in all of their productions.
In 2011 Amelia moved to Sydney to train full-time for six months before re-locating to Europe where she had obtained a position at Hungary’s National Ballet Academy (HDA) in Budapest. During her three years in Budapest she received a professional dance training and completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Classical Ballet. In 2014, for her graduation performance at the Hungarian State Opera House, she was given lead roles in Gyula Harangozó’s ballet Térzene and Robert North’s ballet Light Fandango and completed a successful performance tour in Hungary and Slovenia.
During Amelia’s years based in the center of Eastern Europe she also took time to travel, discovering other cultures, meeting new people and creating connections which would later lead to her first companyposition working under acclaimed choreographer and artistic director Robert North.
Amelia is currently in her second season with the company, headed by Robert North and Sheri Cook, based in West Germany and performing for enthusiastic audiences in the cites of Krefeld and Mönchengladbach. Since entering the company in August 2014 she has performed in all of the company’s ballet productions and is also involved in some of the theater’s musical and opera productions.
